Privacy
Details discussed in session will be kept private and confidential. There are exceptions, however, and they refer to safety. Wherever there is a risk of harm, or disclosure of historic abuse or neglect, information will not be kept confidential. My priority will always be the safety and well being of all of my clients.
Children and families in the midst of separation or divorce proceedings will need to provide consent from the custodial parent or both caregivers in the absence of a custody agreement. At 14 years or age, a youth may consent to their own treatment.
Please contact me if you are unsure or have any questions about privacy and consent to treatment.

My Approach
Depending on your needs, I may use a variety of evidence-based treatment approaches. I am trained in the delivery of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, EMDR, Structural Family Therapy, Brief Solution Focused Therapy among others. My personal philosophy is to deliver services from a strengths-based, client-centred and anti oppressive perspective. I am also skilled at balancing the needs of multiple family members at one time. The comfort and safety of my clients will always be a priority. With this in mind, I will take my time to help your family to "warm up" to the environment so that the counselling process can be as successful as possible. I am a big believer in the use of carefully timed humour and I like to keep things as fun and as light as possible, especially when working with children.
I receive supervision from a Clinical Psychologist and I am committed to ongoing learning and training throughout the year.
I provide equality of services and care to everyone regardless of age, sex, ability, gender, gender identity, race, religion or belief, or sexual orientation.
